Porcelain crowns and bridges

If decay or fracture has damaged a large portion of the tooth, a crown may be the best solution. Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space. These teeth are called abutments and serve as anchors for the bridge. If a dental bridge is needed, the abutments will be polished and crowned and then the prosthesis will be fixed.
